I said my apologies to Ken, So now its all's fair in love and war
Personally, I don't think Ken Gives a rip about his customers or this product. I am not renewing my account, nor will I endorse this. My site is small and growing so I cannot say it works or don't. All I can add is I payed $60 plus dollars to use the code with commissions.
When Ken first bought this script from the Juvenile who abandoned it after paying for it, Ken seemed to have put some life into VBclassifieds.
I was hopefull and a willing dolt to follow the product.
Not any more.
As soon as I find a solution, vbclassifieds is gone. Sorry Ken, your probably a really nice guy and going through some stuff, but we all have hardships, and to abandon your customers and support is simply FUBAR. By the amount of posts and the traffic, it appears your base is gone as well.

I just wish someone would write a good classified program and stick with it.

Photopost now uses TineMCE, and it integrates fairly well, so the barriers to move back are getting smaller.
It feels more like this product is now dead, we've had almost no assurances from Ken that he will be able to dedicate time to this product. That's a shame for us, but if it's a reality for him, it would be nice to hear that.

I've used it as well, and chose vBClassified because of the same reasons as you. I have found myself visiting the Photopost more frequently as of late. I really would hate to abandon vBClassifieds but with vB 4.0 nearing a Beta and no development here in awhile it looks as I don't have much choice. I would feel better if Ken would atleast come around once in awhile and keep us updated on his plans. I honestly find it hard to believe he does not even look at the site considering all the time he has invested in this script.

Totally agree with all, PP Classifieds is lacking in many areas and is not as robust as Vbclassifieds. Even though PPC argues his is better
I agree, basically it is shit or get off the pot at this stage of the game. I am growing my site and i cannot invest in silence or for that matter an unknown. I am anticipating VB4 as well.
It is a Shame that Ken has abandoned this script. I remember the original developer and what pain Ken went through to purchase the rights to VBclassifieds. He brought it from the same situation we have now, to a viable product.
The Sad part is History is repeating itself and Ken has followed the original developers methods of abandonment. At least that 17 year old had the decency to email his clients and explain the situation closing VBC down.

I am starting to get nervous about the development.. What alternatives do we have to vbclassifieds other than PP classifieds?

Fixed
Honestly, and this is what I do not understand. Why not just shut it down with a reasonable explanation. Post an announcement and send an email to hist customers explaining in simple terms why he cannot continue.
I mean, this if anything is ruining his reputation in the community. Who will ever trust him in the future with this type of business attitude
Ken has to be reading this, at the least, he should email his paid customers and shut the site down
